    WE PRAYED...
    OUR PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED...

    we asked -

Pray for wisdom for the surgeon: and the surgeon had more wisdom than they had ever known before.

Pray for a smooth procedure: with a steady hand they worked with precision and clarity; engaged and focused in every movement and moment of every single second during the surgery.

Pray for Brandon to have strength: Brandon was filled with a strength unlike any we could possibly fathom. There is no doubt that it took everything within him and such a mighty strength to do the exact opposite of what he wanted...to stay with us here on earth.

Pray for responsiveness: his response to the surgery was necessary and though it was against our fervent wishes, his decision was one that he could not deny...his Father has called upon him.

Pray for a full recovery: Brandon's mind, body and soul rejoice in the house of the Lord for he is home.

  68. Dear Oran, Laura, Natalie and family,
We grieve this loss with you. Words are so very surface at such a time, but the love we have is so very deep. Loren and I wept at this news.
We still rejoice, in the knowledge and relationship we have in JESUS CHRIST, that soon and very soon...we will be together with Brandon again.
Brandon was a shiny person. Shiny hair, shiny skin, shiny car :) and shiny spirit! I would see him around town often. He was, funny to say out now, often in my mind. He will be missed!
Memories of him will be sweet.
1Cor.15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to GOD, who gives us the victory through our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Therefore my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, knowing that in the LORD your labor is not in vain.

    1. "Lord, Brandon did not receive a Spirit of bondage to his fears, but received the Holy Spirit through whom Brandon can now call you his Father. The Spirit Himself bears witness in Brandon's life that Brandon is your son and an heir alongside Christ, and if an heir with Christ, Brandon is a joint-heir and blessed with all the privileges and blessings you've given Christ. Thank you Lord, that your Spirit helps Brandon in his moments of weakness and fear. It is easy to become afraid and distracted and Brandon doesn't always know how and what to pray for as he ought, but I thank you that the Spirit Himself makes intercession for Brandon with deep groanings which cannot be uttered. For you knew Brandon before the foundation of the earth and you planned for him to be conformed to the image of your Son.
    2. We know Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God...made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond-servant, and came in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even death on the cross.
    3. Seeing then that Brandon has a great and empathetic High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, I thank you that Brandon has held fast to his confession. For he does not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with his weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as Brandon is, yet without sin. Let Brandon therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that he may obtain mercy and find grace
    4. because he is your son, through faith in Christ Jesus, and because he is yours, he part of Abraham's seed, and he is an heir according to promise. And we confess you sent your Son to redeem Brandon that he might receive his adoption as Your son. And because Brandon is your son, you have sent forth your Son's Spirit to him whereby Brandon can call out to you, "Abba" that is to say "Daddy" because Brandon is no longer a slave, but a son, and an heir of God through Christ.
    5. What shall we say then? If God is for Brandon, who can possibly stand against him? Lord, because you did not even spare Your own Son, but delivered Him up for Brandon, we are certain you will freely give Brandon every good thing. For we are persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any created thing shall be able to separate Brandon from Your love which You have for Him through Christ Jesus our Lord.
    6. Now to Him who is able to keep us from stumbling, and to present us faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. To God our Savior, who alone is wise -- be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forevermore. Amen."

I did not know Brandon for but a very short time when he helped build Natalie and my loft bed at Baylor, But I instantly wanted to be a a part of the love your family had to offer. 102. I will always remember Brandon for having a character that linked him so effortlessly to his wonderful parents. Golden hair, freckles, and a raspy voice that showed the world he was Natalie Pentz’s little brother. And a most of all a smile that illustrated the joy he so obviously had in his heart, which proved that he was beloved by God the Father. Oran, Laura, and Natalie thank you so much for influencing such an amazing man of God and a friend to all, so that we might be reunited with him in heaven.

I aspire to be a parent like you both. To raise a child, in the Lord, that was loved by and loved so many. You raised a man that radiated Christ's love just by smiling, a smile that lit up a room. I can only imagine what great praise Brandon is bringing to God today with that smile as he stands in His presence. It is apparent that you gave Brandon over to the Lord many years ago to allow Him to do His work in Brandon. Thank you for being such an example to us all.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

  149. Dear Oran, Laura and Natalie,
Since my son, Ryan, informed me earlier this week about Brandon's accident, I have been praying for God's will for Brandon during this time and strength for you all. Ryan told me how much he enjoyed being with Brandon and playing golf with Brandon, Oran, and Gordon in Utah this past July. My heart is heavy with grief for you and your family, and I know only God can carry you through this difficult time. Though I did not know Brandon personally, Ryan has told me what a wonderful person he was, and I see from comments that he was truly an extraordinary young man who has touched so many lives. Be certain that because of Brandon, others will come to know Christ or their faith will be renewed. We cannot see the whole of God's picture, but only keep faith. Thank you for raising such a wonderful son who has and will continue to effect so many lives now and forever. This world has been truly blessed by his life. You will be in my prayers always. God bless and comfort you until you are reunited with Brandon in our Lord's Holy Kingdom.
