The second surgery went well. Brandon made it though and the pressure on his brain is down to where it should be. This is a huge answer to prayer. Right Now he is resting and in the morning he will have a follow up CT Scan. Those results will give us and indicator of what is ahead.
Be praying that Brandon will get rest and build strength and most important that the scan shows no more damage.
Praying this is Brandon's first stepping stone to a full recovery. Stay strong Brandon. You are surrounded by love and prayers.

Your entire family and Brandon have been in our prayers since we received the news. You do not know me, but my husband,Ron, worked with Brandon for quite some time and came to think very highly of him. I met him briefly a time or two myself. Just know that you have people praying that do not even know you as I have shared this blog with my other prayer warriors. We serve an awesome and mighty God, and we trust Him completely for the best possible outcome. Thank you for the updates here; we will check in regularly. May God strengthen and bless you!

Here is Roy's devotional from the Grove webpage:
ReplyDeleteAugust 18: Roy Ronveaux
Today I will choose to stop focusing on fear because the Word says, “God has not given me a spirit of fear but one of power, love, and sound mind.” (II Timothy 1:7)
Can you remember a stressful time in your life when you have struggled with the monster called fear? It can be overwhelming when you have been asked to give a speech, or start a new job, or give birth to a child, or move into a new neighborhood, or start at a new school, or lose a job, or go through a divorce. Some circumstances are anticipated while others are totally unplanned. Our circumstances cannot change our perspective – the truth is God is with us, empowering us with power, love, and a sound mind.
Thank the Lord, what a glorious morning. May God continue to give Brandon and your family strength and healing. God Bless you all Sherry Gary and family

May your faith continue to grow as you wait and watch to see how our precious Lord works through this entire situation. You are such a loved and cherished family! We pray this scripture for all of you which says, "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him." He is working in ways we can't even imagine. "He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He is holding you all close to His heart and we are too.

ReplyDeleteJames 5:14-15 Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. Jam 5:15 And their prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make them well. And anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven.
