Pray Now

Tonight we were faced with a fork in the road. Brandon had a rough day and the pressure on his brain has remained at a high level. After consulting with his doctor and seeking other second opinions it came apparent that there were 2 options at this juncture. We could wait it out and begin to pull the machines off (hoping for the pressure to go down), or we could go back into surgery and open up the cap on the other side of the brain and relieve more pressure. Like many options there were pros and cons to both.
After prayer and family discussion we have decided to have another surgery. Right now they are rolling Brandon back into the OR. Please pray that this will not only relieve the pressure from his brain but also give him the best chance at a full recovery.

Post surgery we will be praying for movement and responsiveness. Surgery will last a few hours we will continue to update as soon as we can. Thanks again for all the love, support, and mostly the prayers.

Again…..

Pray for wisdm for the surgeon

Pray for a smooth procedure

Pray for Brandon to have strength

Pray for responsiveness

Pray for a full recovery

    Oran and Laura,
Fran Ferard here. Just got the word tonight re: Brandon through Harvest Family Prayer.Thinking it was your Brandon..did some checking around and found my worst thoughts were true. I am so very sorry you are going through this with your son. I picture myself in your place and know how hard this is for you.
Have gone through some heavy things with an accident and aftermath with my oldest child, Christy, who is 41. At 24, head trauma and a journey that has included GOD's help and miracles. While I won't tell you it was easy...our FATHER does all things well. I know you know this. She works and carries a very challenging load as caregiver and health advocate for a 91 year old, former POW from WWII. We have all learned so much through these trails. There were times I gave her up to the LORD. Told HIM that if HE wasn't going to heal her... I was ready to let her go. She is still here. Every day, as Loren and I drove together to WCC to work and attend School...we would pray for Christy to be healed by a hair's breadth at least, every day. "And please send the right people to help us." I prayed that the LORD would supply natural measures according to Gen. 1:29 & 30. HE heard my cries.
Rest in the Strong arms of the LORD.
And how may I help? I am a chaplain...this is my place. And I love you both. Let me know.
You have our fervent prayers. And I will pass the word.
Will contact Day School with my cell number tomorrow.
    Praying, Fran

  14. We put our oldest daughter to bed tonight 3 1/2 year old and we have the same prayer every night... Dear Jesus... please have the angels watch over us tonight as we sleep... Bless those who are less fortunate than us... And the last couple nights have added.. And keep your hedge of protections around Brandon and his family. My daughter asked tonight "who is Brandon"? And my wife and I responded with... He is a family friend that needs our prayers. She said... Did he hurt his leg? I said no hunny... He hurt his head when he fell and he needs our prayers. She said... Ok daddy. let's pray for Brandon, I hope he feels better. The innocent heart of a young child reaching out brought me to tears! Even is she doesn't kniw the while story. We love you Brandon and the whole Pentz family. Your love and prayers are with us all.

  18. I am awake, unable to sleep. Thoughts pounding of Brandon and all that he means to me, my family and his family. I can only imagine the fear and pain the my Oran and Laura and Natalie and BD are feeling and I ache for you. So I run to our Jesus, His word and His understanding and hope. Hold on to the promises and truths of our God who is a God of love, healing hope and goodness. 'But now this what the Lord says who created you and formed you, Fear Not, for I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are mine. When you walk through the waters I will be with you, when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned. For I am with you.' Isaiah 43:1 Fervently praying for a miracle.

  20. There appear to be about 148 views of the blog per hour since you started it. All of these people then immediately contact others who don't have constant access to the internet. The prayer chain is mind boggling and such a blessing. Stay strong Pentz Family, We all love you very much.
