First Thing

Last night Brandon was hanging out with some friends in San Marcos. Around 8:35pm, he slipped and fell. Nearby friends heard the fall and rushed to see if he was ok. After quickly realizing that Brandon needed help 911 was called and he was rushed to the nearest medical facility in Escondido. Upon arrival at the ER Brandon was immediately examined and sent into emergency Brain Surgery. Due to the fall he suffered a fractured cranium and hemorrhaging in the right lobe. The surgery went as well as could be expected given the circumstance and Brandon is now being treated in the Trauma ICU. Currently his vitals are all good but he is still un-responsive.

Please Pray, for Brandon to be strong and for the Lord to protect him. If you are reading this you know that Brandon is a fighter. We have faith that God is in control and is with Brandon. We will do the best we can to keep everyone updated here on his status, but again for now the best thing that you can do is pray.

“Because he loves me says the Lord I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation. “

  14. Oran and Laura,
Fran Ferard here. Just got the word tonight re: Brandon through Harvest Family Prayer.Thinking it was your Brandon..did some checking around and found my worst thoughts were true. I am so very sorry you are going through this with your son. I picture myself in your place and know how hard this is for you.
Have gone through some heavy things with an accident and aftermath with my oldest child, Christy who is 41. At 24, head trauma and a journey that has included GOD's help and miracles. While I won't tell you it was easy...our FATHER does all things well. I know you know this. She works and carries a very challenging load as caregiver and health advocate for a 91 year old, former POW from WWII. We have all learned so much through these trails. There were times I gave her up to the LORD. Told HIM that if HE wasn't going to heal her... I was ready to let her go. She is still here. Every day, as Loren and I drove together to WCC to work and attend School...we would pray for Christy to be healed by a hair's breadth at least, every day. "And please send the right people to help us." I prayed that the LORD would supply natural measures according to Gen. 1:29 & 30. HE heard my cries.
Rest in the Strong arms of the LORD.
And how may I help? I live by the Plaza and can help out with things close to home. I am a chaplain...this is my place. And I love you both. Let me know.
You have my fervant prayers. And I will pass the word.
Will contact Day School with my cell number tomorrow.
    Praying, Fran

  15. From Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta....please know we are keeping you all in our prayers, especially Brandon. Psalm 91 is the prayer I pray for my son..."He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty......"He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. 14 "Because he loves me," says the Lord, "I will rescue him. I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation." Love from all at Peachtree. Willa McGimsey

  17. Pentz family... I cannot tell you how very sorry I am to hear the news. I know that nothing can be said to make things feel better. Usually one would say something about God having a plan. We all know this to be true, but it is not always the most comforting of statements in times like these. The Bible says that "When two or more are gathered in my name, there I am." Well, we may not all be in the same place, but we are certainly praying for the same family. God is here. My heart goes out to you all, and I will continue to pray for you.

Philippians 4:4-7 "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
